City develops from the countryside, and the citizens share the same blood with the villagers.

    City provides a stage for villagers to seek for their dreams, countryside becomes a way to the geographical expansion of city.

    Urbanization seems to be a way for the new rural construction. Villas have sprouted up in the countryside, and the villagers’ living standards approach the level of the citizens.

    Rural life has become a way for the citizens to express strong countryside complex. Joyous Farmers’ Households are prospering in the countryside, and the village landscapes are flickering frequently in the city.

    City is growing but countryside is receding. City is expanding but countryside is shrinking. The urban and rural connecting areas are mixture of the urban civility and rural culture.

    With the characteristics of villages in cities and cities in villages, the dualistic structure of society appears to have a trend of integration. They are interdependent but checkered with contradictions.

    When focusing on the surrounding landscapes in the urban and rural areas, I found that they were so familiar but strange. When comparing with the landscapes, I found that they were so similar but different.

    In the past, the changes in the urban and rural areas lasted slowly for decades;

    Today, changes are quickly and dramatically different in both urban and rural areas year by year.

    In the future, city and countryside indeed will see dramatically changes. Only images can remain the lost memories forever.
